Performance Statistics

Forex algorithms, like all trading systems, must be analysed

“Analysis is the critical starting point of strategic thinking.”

Kenichi Ohmae

We're a Tech Company, Not a Fund

This is the performance of one of our flagship algorithms set to medium risk. We are not a fund you can invest in, we are a technology company used by individual traders and institutional funds alike.

This graph shows the equity line with cumulative profit on the vertical axis and number of trades on the horizontal axis. We aim to provide our clients with the smoothest equity line possible to reduce trader stress and increase user confidence. Of course no equity line is perfectly smooth and as one can see from the below graph there are some spikes and troughs, but we try to keep these as minimal as possible.

A strategy cannot produce a profit without holding risk, and one of the most important measurements to monitor with regard to risk is the drawdown. We show it in this bar graph as a percentage of the portfolio. All the data on this page is based on our medium-risk settings. These results would be changed by implimenting higher or lower risk settings.

Statistical correlation is a measure of how similar each part of the portfolio performs. In a perfect world you would have negative correlation relationships between all segments. This would mean that when one was losing the other would be winning, perfectly hedging your portfolio. Perfect worlds do not exist, however, but we have still managed to have very low correlation and in many cases negative correlation. This helps us control the risk of the overall portfolio and is part of the reason you see such a smooth equity line at the top of this page.

This graph shows how many 15 minute candles each trade was open for on the horizontal axis, and shows how much profit or loss that trade made on the vertical axis. You will notice this is not a scalping algorithm by any means, with many trades going over 24 hours, which means less worry when regarding slippage and spread variations per trade.
